Welcome to Math 9
Our goal in Math 9 is to provide students with the opportunity to further their knowledge, skills, and appreciation of mathematics.
In our Grade 9 classes, we are using the blended learning model. In addition to teacher-led lessons / examples, students will have access to Moodle. Moodle is an online math tool that can be used both in the classroom and at home to help support what is being taught in class. It can also help students catch up if they’ve missed classes or work ahead if they choose to do so. You may want your student to show you how you can see what progress is being made by logging into the Moodle site. (http://yesnet.knowplace.ca/) or search for Yukon Moodle
** Moodle can be a very useful tool for students working on math at home, catching up on missed work or working ahead, as it offers:

How to be successful in Math 9?
Math 9 Parents,
Your support is essential to your child’s success in math. Some ‘math time’ at home will be necessary as there are many new (and sometimes difficult) concepts introduced this year.
Please copy and use the course timeline given to your student to help them stay focused and on schedule.
Feel free to contact me anytime with any questions or concerns you have. Jerry.Heal@yesnet.yk.ca
